Laboratory Renovation
University of Rochester
Through a design build effort, the University of Rochester Department of Chemistry sought to renovate the existing physical organic chemistry lab in the basement of Hutchison Hall to create a new research lab working broadly in the fields of inorganic and materials chemistry. The space contains a wet lab with 9 fume hoods, toxic and corrosive gas storage cabinets, and a glove box area with a nitrogen distribution system. In addition, new finishes installed throughout the space, as well as new casework with phenolic resin work surfaces have been installed and a student office area with new desks to accommodate 16 students
